I’m Regina Leon and I am a student, an actress, and a dreamer who attends San Francisco State University. This blog is meant to guide you through the wonderful history of acting + its techniques. Yes, you are correct–this blog will be centered on the world of drama, but the techniques I will be talking about can easily be applied to life. Like a brilliant man once said, “Growth as an actor and growth as human being are synonymous.” I will be responding to, challenging, and questioning ideas that revolve around the art of acting.

Some of the topics I will be addressing are:

  • Presentational vs. Representational
  • Stanislavsky and his method
  • Stella Adler and her vision
  • Lee Strasberg
  • Meisner’s technique
  • Audition by Michael Shurtleff
  • And… any topics that you want me to address!

The world of drama is intricate, tough, but nevertheless rewarding. Hopefully, through this blog, you will be able to learn new things about acting and yourself. You will be surprised at how easily acting techniques can be applied to our daily lives…

p.s. I will leave you all with this gem.
